Bluegrass Nights at the Kempton Rod and Gun Club
brings together a heart-warming blend of bluegrass and old-time string band music in the Lehigh Valley area. Every 4th Saturday of the month. Doors will open at 3:00 pm, open stage until 5:00 pm, our main show will be at 6:00 pm. Join us as friends gather to listen and pick bluegrass music. Bands from north and south in the Poconos and beyond perform old standards and some new original tunes with the distinctive flavor of Pennsylvania Bluegrass. 5-string banjos, Dobros, guitars, fiddles and mandolins are all represented in an afternoon of old timey music and song. Stories of heartbreak, new love, trains, and hobos, share the stage with gospel favorites as each band shares their own version of bluegrass community. Pickers and those just learning gather in various parts of the venue to jam, and listeners are encouraged also.
