Louie Setzer
One has only to listen
to a few tunes from Louie and the Boys to realize that this is the real
thing: genuine bluegrass from
Louie’s heart and his soul. He would have it no other way. Like most of
us, Louie has had his good times, but life can take some sharp turns. Louie
Setzer has allowed his diverse experiences to sharpen his perception and
understanding of our human existence. What it means for you and me is that
we get to hear bluegrass as it was meant to be. |

Danny Paisley and the Southern Grass
Danny Paisley and the Southern Grass play powerful, unadorned, and intense
traditional bluegrass. There is no hybrid or genre-bending music here.
It is music borne of the vibrant old time southern fiddle bands, as well
as the lonesome moans of the backwoods mountain blues. The instruments
blaze with energy while the songs reveal a paradoxical, desperate sadness
anchoring the music squarely in the classic bluegrass tradition. Danny
Paisley and the Southern Grass combine those forces with a drive and energy
that takes over your senses. It is music you not only hear, but feel in
your gut.

Darren Beachley and the Legends of the Potomac
Darren Beachley was born in June 1967 in
Frederick, Maryland. Darren was influenced early in his life by
the music of
Jimmy Martin,
Flatt and Scruggs,
The Osborne Brothers and The Seldom Scene and like many young players
Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver. Darren started playing Mandolin at
age 4 and by
age 9 was playing upright bass. Darren began his professional career
with South Central Bluegrass in August of 1988. The band would
record 2 projects
for The Webco label and the song "I Pressed through the Crowd" would
reach number 17 on the Bluegrass Unlimited National Survey. In September
of 1991, Darren was hired to play dobro with the legendary Bill Harrell
and the Virginians. Bill is quoted to say "I need a dobro and Darren
is the best". Darren carries many of the lessons he learned from
Bill to the stage today.

Thunder Creek Thunder Creek hails
from Eastern Pennsylvania where they play their hard driving style of bluegrass,
twin fiddle cajun, and smooth country to all their fans. Thunder Creek
crosses all boundries and styles, which allows them to appeal to all types
of people and their taste, as well as win over every crowd whether it is
on radio, or at a concert. The band members have earned many awards. For
example, Rich was banjo player of the year in bluegrass and nobody plays
a harder driving banjo then him. In addition Rich and Joe were awarded
entertainers of the year. Joe, who has a velvety smooth Perry Como voice
gets alot of responce from the ladies. Rick is said to be one of the best
tenors in bluegrass and nobody knows how high he can go. This gives them
what most bluegrass bands do not have (a power tenor) and with that makes
them a bluegrass powerhouse. Craig is a great lead guitarist and a good
singer who has played in numerous bands over the years and has just crossed
over from the dark side(rock music) to play bluegrass. Thunder Creek manages
to blend comedy, skits, costumes, alot of bad jokes, their normal goofy
banter back and forth to one another, and crowd parcitipation to make them
much more than just a music band. They are trully entertainers which makes
them one of the best power vocal and entertaining bands around.

Lykens Valley Bluegrass Band
The Lykens Valley Bluegrass Boys
have been entertaining audiences since around 1980. Based in central PA,
they play mostly in that area, occasionally
crossing the state borders. It was soon after their inception when they
entered a band contest and won recording time at Green Valley Studios.
Since then they have shared the stage with many of the top acts in bluegrass,
as well as Willie Nelson, Confederate Railroad, Billy Walker and Jack Greene.
They try to keep a nice mix of traditional & contemporary tunes in
their set list. They also offer some original material, as well as the
occasional country song if the mood strikes.
