In honor of and with respect to Dick Blattenberger, the Lehigh Valley Bluegrass Festival and the Dobro® Resonator Guitar Association will award the Second Annual Blattenberger Award. We welcome your participation in the selection. There are three criteria you should consider:
Please nominate one Dobro® player from the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland area. Nominations will be open till the end of March. At that time you will be asked to Vote to narrow the field. Consider your vote carefully and nominate as many Dobro® players that you feel deserve the award. As festival time approaches, we will ask you to vote again to narrow the choices and finally about 6 weeks before the festival we will ask you again to vote for the winner.

About Claire Lynch:
Making records since she was 19, Claire Lynch has long been recognized as a creative force in acoustic music and at the forefront of women who have expanded the genre. She’s been named bluegrass “Female Vocalist of the Year” twice, most recently in 2010, and was nominated again in 2011. She’s received two Grammy nominations, countless specialized awards and other honors – along with reverent standing ovations for her shows at prestigious music festivals and theaters around the world for over two decades.
Lynch has crafted one of the most instantly identifiable sounds in acoustic music. Her style encompasses classic bluegrass and thoughtful infusions of contemporary folk, country, rock, and swing. Axel needs a band or 2 to do a benefit show !!! Bluegrass/folk/Gospel/Americana Etc.
My Niece is donating a kidney to her Grandpa, all the medical bills are taken care of but she will be off work for 2-3 months so the family is raising money to pay her bills while she is off from work recovering !!!
Hotel rooms/gas/food etc. all taken care of for the bands !!!

The Schedule for the Pocono Bluegrass and Folk Society Winterfest to be held in East Stroudsburg the last weekend in January has been finalized. Click here to see when your favorite band will be playing. You can buy your tickets ahead of time on the website and also tickets for the guitar raffle can be purchased online.
